Hailing from the lush highlands of Boquete, Panama, Altieri Specialty Coffee is a family-owned tradition rooted in passion and expertise. Established by the Italian-American businessman Eugene Altieri, the brand has garnered numerous accolades over the years. Today, the second generation of the Altieri family carries on this legacy, expanding their reach and preserving the rich heritage of their coffee.
The unique terroir of these farms, nestled on the slopes of the Barú Volcano within the National Park, contributes to the extraordinary flavor profile of Altieri's coffee. Surrounded by misty cloud forests, the plants are nurtured by a special microclimate that imparts a distinctive character to the final cup.
Using the Anaerobic Slow Dry (A.S.D.) technique, the coffee cherries are left to stew in their own juices and later dried for over 40+ days, increasing the flavors' intensity. That's why you may experience an intense Grape and Stone Fruit notes with a delightful Mandarine flavour, finishing with Black Tea.
